= wide water spray circumference with linear flow

• SpaTap is Eco-friendly because upcycles ubiquitous plastic bottles
= re-purposing the bottles (plastic or glass), giving them longevity and purpose.

• SpaTap is Eco-friendly because it is designed to fit the most commonly sized
water bottles & canteens in the world today

• SpaTap is Eco-friendly because of the Soap caddy practical innovation of utilising the base of the inverted bottle and thus making it within easy access.

The inventor humbly believes the impact of the SpaTap dwells within each device’s ability to:

. Renew health and hope to individuals, families, communities, schools, villages and developing nations
. Reduce the runaway rates of disease transmission and preventable deaths
. Reverse the current environmental nightmare of profound plastic waste proliferation, and
. Repair this planet, including all our fellow “earthlings”; those land, marine and air creatures under the daily threat of pain, death and extinction.
. Revolutionise global perceptions, such that rampant waste is no longer the hopeless situation it appears.
. Rebalance Earth’s resources by extending the life cycle of each and every ubiquitous plastic bottle.
. Relief (emergency or practical) for every man woman and child.
Measurement and calculation of such potential impacts, the inventor believes, will be proportionate to the number of devices used.
However, if even one baby’s life is saved, because a doctor somewhere in Africa has access to a SpaTap…such an “outcome” becomes much more than even an “impact”.
It becomes a gift, a beautiful blessing to the world and all of the humanity.
Such things cannot be measured.

FIELD TEST RESULTS 
COMPARATIVE HANDWASHES PER LITRE WATER

We calculate that if everybody washed their hands every day with a SpaTap we would save 19 million litres in water annually in Australia alone if you scale that up to the global population then the figure is a staggering!

This is how we calculated it:
In the developed world we estimate the minimum amount of water is used when washing the hands in a home or public toilet is 0.5L. We estimate that most people wash their hands an average of 5x per day.
Therefore 5 x 0.5litre = 2.5L /day on hand washing per person
2.5L x 365 days of the year = 912.5L /year
912.5L /year x 22,680,000 (Australia’s population) = 20,695,500,000L /year of water used on hand washing in Australia
In comparison, the SpaTap provides 25 washes per litre of water (40ml per wash). Following the same calculation, if everyone used SpaTap to wash their hands this would use 1,655,640,000L and a saving of 19,039,860L of water on hand washing.

Upcycling

Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

The first recorded use of the term upcycling was by Reiner Pilz of Pilz GmbH in an article by Thornton Kay of Salvo in 1994.[1]

We talked about the impending EU Demolition Waste Streams directive. “Recycling,” he said, “I call it downcycling. They smash bricks, they smash everything. What we need is upcycling- where old products are given more value, not less.” He despairs of the German situation and recalls the supply of a large quantity of reclaimed wood blocks from an English supplier for a contract in Nuremberg while just down the road a load of similar blocks was scrapped. In the road outside his premises, was the result of the Germans’ demolition waste recycling. It was a pinky looking aggregate with pieces of handmade brick, old tiles and discernible parts of useful old items mixed with crushed concrete. Is this the future for Europe?

SpaTap is made from UV, food and water grade silicon.

Silicon production is sustainable it uses readily available materials – quartz sand (silica) Silicone is indisputably safe for human health, furthermore, when it comes to the environment, silicone is highly durable and environmentally friendly. Silicone is much longer lasting than plastic and endures extreme fluctuations in temperatures from very cold to oven hot without melting, cracking or otherwise degrading. Silicone resists oxidative deterioration (normal ageing) for decades on end. Studies have shown that silicones thrive on challenges, including exposure to harsh chemicals, sterilisation, rain, snow, salt spray, ultraviolet radiation, ozone and acid rain. If disposed of at landfill for incineration, silicone converts back into inorganic, harmless ingredients: amorphous silica, carbon dioxide and water vapour.
